Paper from Across the Sea

A cultural exchange between the fine art printmakers of FDPW and the Japanese paper makers of Mino City.

The project saw two cultures come together through a mutual appreciation of expert craftsmanship, in an exchange of contemporary art prints made with traditional artisanal paper from one of the last remaining traditional paper making areas in Japan.

We held several exhibitions throughout Scotland and Japan to showcase the work our members  created using this amazing paper.

The exhibition is currently in lockdown at Catstrand Gallery, New Galloway in Dumfries and Galloway. You can have a virtual tour of the exhibition by clicking here
